I'm looking for a 110VAC Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Detector. Anyone know mfg./model numbers?

Question:
I'm looking for a 110VAC Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Detector. Anyone know mfg./model numbers?

Answer: There are laws that govern the installation of some detectors. I know that in New Jersey they require a smoke detector on every floor, and a smoke detector within 10' of every sleeping area. Every time a house is sold or an apartment is re-rented you must get a smoke detector inspection certificate from the local fire prevention bureau. To my knowledge, Carbon Monoxide detectors are not required in this state, but let me assure you they will be down the road.

For people that do have Carbon Monoxide detector please, please, realize what Carbon Monoxide does. It puts you into a deeper sleep, it is odorless, and colorless. If your detector goes off, have your house checked. Don't be like that doctor in Long Island that just disconnected it when his detector when off, came home the next morning to find his entire family and some friends that were staying over DEAD. This is nothing to play around with, if you are not sure ask a professional, or call your local Fire Department for some information.
