Question:
I have read several stories about people going out to start their classic Mustangs, only to have the thing catch on fire and become a total loss. I think I'm going to get a fire extinguisher for the garage, but I don't know anything about them. Anyone have experiences?

Answer: -Good point, I have a 65 also... I was thinking about getting a in car extinguisher. Because you do start it out of the garage.... Id hate to lose it because of a simple carb fire or somthing...

-No fires of my own(not since my carb fire in my 82GT, but that's a whole other story), but, I have extinguished several fires while on the road over the years...My advice is to get a Halon fire extinguisher, as their chemicals do not harm the paint/interior components of the car
