Question:
Our Firefighters along with Kiwanis organization are looking to do a major fundraiser to purchase a fire safety house. Do any of you have one for your community and if so are you happy with its performance ? Do the children enjoy and learn from it? Is one companys house better than another? Any input woul be appreciated before we commit to this major purchase.

Answer: our dept has one of only 3 ( i believe thats right) combo fire/severe weather safety houses in the US. dang it- went brain dead and forgot the builder- starts with an S. something like Sulley. have to work it tommorrow so i will look AGAIN. sorry for delay. we are extremely happy with it. handicap accessible, totally self contained right down to the refrigerator, generator,microwave,etc. ours was purchased with grant money and public/corporate donations along with the money from all the coke cans collected at our stations-dont laugh- it adds up. till tommorrow.
