Does anyone have a collection of burglar & fire alarm blueprint symbols to insert into tech help!

Question:
Does anyone have a collection of burglar & fire alarm blueprint symbols to insert into tech help!

Answer: I've got a few fire alarm details in AutoCAD that I've developed over the years, is that the kind of thing you are looking for? Also, some manufacturers offer wiring diagram details for their products in a .dxf drawing file format., Crouse-Hinds, Square D, General Electric, Allen Bradley, Radionics, Kidde, Fenwal, Etc.. When I go to the ISC show I usually ask vendors for drawing files in a .dxf or .dwg format of their products. "Most" of the time, if they have them, they are in a .pdf format, which helps some but not quite enough. When designing for an application I find it necessary to modify the drawing slightly to fit an application. I don't know how to modify a .pdf file to remove promotional text like "New and Improved", which does not belong on an engineering blueprint. Sometimes I'll scan a drawing and insert into AutoCAD as a .bmp file, but that can make for a really large AutoCAD file size. If is just generic symbols that you are looking for, try the Army Corps of Engineers web site. They have a library of standard details and symbols, Arch, Mech., Civil, and Electrical. (Free), although scarce in IDS and Fire details.
