Question:
Howdy,any thoughts on this effect,its available at magicmax.com, you show a small ball,and then light it on fire and hold it in your hand, its the liquid that you put on the ball that does the work, was thinking of purchasing it ,any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Answer: I used to have something like this some years ago, but it might not be the same product exactly. It was a heavy cotton ball and an alcohol-like liquid. You could hold it in your hand without much heat (the heat goes up) but you could light a match off it from above. My only complaint was that the flame was blue and not all that visible. The flame in the picture is much yellower. But then, it looks like it was taken in darkness. The video might be interesting if it were a download, but $13.50 for a 12 minute video
