Question: I have a customer that runs an amusement show. (Carnaval, Road Show, ect) The fire marshal want him to have a local fire alarm panel in the "Maze" attraction. This is the one where you have to "feel" your way through a darkend maze. It is housed in a trailer portion of a tractor trailer truck. The fire marshal just wants a few smoke detectors activating a panel that will sound an audible alarm signal and turn on lights within the attraction so that people could find their way out in the event of a fire. I'm having a hard time finding an inexpensive single zone (or 2, 3 or 4 zone) fire panel with a 110vac aux relay and no digital communicator. There doesn't seem to be any reason to pay $300.00 or more for something so simple. Can anyone give me a name or model number of a simple fire panel? Does anyone make anything that simple anymore?
Answer: -Silent Knight 5204 http://www.silentknight.com/PDFfiles/Firepdf/5204pdf/5204spec.pdf DMP XR5 http://www.dmpnet.com/products/index.cfm?item=fire_panels/xr5fc.cfm FireLite MP-12/24 http://www.firelite.com/datasheets/df_50141.pdf -try the Silent Knight 2224 or 4224 fire panels, they are probably in the price range you are looking for. I just installed a 2224 I beleive it was only $200.00 dealer cost. They are easy to setup, they are dipswitch programmable.
