Would anyone care to share with me the manner in which they price their fire alarm inspections? I work in the Akron/Canton, Ohio market, so I suspect someone outside of the area would be more apt to respond.

Answer: -$50.00 flat fee plus $1.00 per device.. $10.00 filing fee if required. (to local and state) $30.00 per hour for any additional repairs and/or replacement of devices 10% of total if out of regular service area. (50 miles from shop) Cost of local option license if required Cost plus 100% for any replacement devices.. $100.00 per hour if we have to explain what it is were doing.... -When I was working in Edmonton doing inspections, we used to charge $100.00 for a flat fee, which also comprised the minimum charge on those three story little walkups with "AC" fire systems (smoke alarms, AC bells, and hokey pull stations). We'd be able to "blast" through a job in about an hour. Paper work was like fifteen minutes. Buildings that had fire alarm panels and DC devices, we'd still go on the "flat fee", but we'd charge $1.50 a device. Of course all of this is Canadian Dollars
