Fire Alarm ( EST 2)I know you guys being doing this for years. I need help with an EST 2 panel that have a mapping problem, how to correct it and what I need to correct it,panel works find with a mapping trouble displayed.

Answer: From what I know of the EST 2 and 3 family, they are unlike other controls where you can "evenly distribute" the addressable devices in the system. The "Signature Loop" depends on "uneven distribution" to properly map devices. In addition "Signature Devices" are "self addressing", and while easily replaceable, they depend on a position in the loop for the panel to properly assign an "address" to them. Do you have the programming software? Without it, you're not going to be able to properly identify the various devices in the loop once the panel's successfully mapped them.
